announcements and news

2/19/2026: WE ARE BACK! Father Parkerson has informed me that (God willing), his health has improved and he is planning on celebrating Mass this Sunday at 5 PM. I look forward to seeing everyone there. We are making great progress with our Altar Server Guild. If you know a young man who would be interested in learning to serve the Latin Mass, please reach out via the “Contact” function on this site!

1/23/2026: MASS THIS SUNDAY (1/25/2026) HAS BEEN CANCELED. Father Parkerson remains in the hospital through tomorrow. Given the combination of his health and the potential weather impacts, we will not have the Latin Mass this Sunday. Father is doing well, but please continue to pray for his speedy recovery. If you know others who attend the Latin Mass, please help us get the word out! We expect Mass to resume in February as scheduled. Altar Server training before Mass this Sunday is also canceled.

1/22/26 PRAYER REQUEST ALERT: I was alerted that Father Parkerson is in the ICU as of last night. Please pray for his full and speedy recovery. He was able to text but is unsure how long he will be in the hospital. As of now, we are still planning on having the Mass this Sunday, but between Father’s condition and the weather, please make sure to check these announcements and/or our Facebook page. I will provide updates on his status as I get them.

1/20/26: Happy New Year! The new 2026 Mass Schedule is now updated on the site. We are watching the weather for this Sunday and will post any announcements if the schedule is impacted by the weather on this site and on the Facebook site. No news = good news!

We are happy to announce that our Altar Server training continues. If you know someone who is interested in learning to serve the Latin Mass, please have them reach out via the “Contact” information on this page!

Also, we are in need of more Latin-to-English Booklet Missals. If you are looking for a way to support the effort, a donation of these missals would be greatly appreciated. Please use the Contact function on this page if you are willing or interested in helping!

7/24/25: A few quick updates:

1) Confession is planned prior to this Sunday’s Mass, barring last minute changes to the priests travel schedules:.

2) We are making slow but steady progress in some critical areas including altar server training and restoring music to the Mass. Please continue to pray for our efforts in these areas, we’ve been unexpectedly blessed recently!

3) Reminder: For those who are helping with set up and break down, please ensure that we have had a chance to take pictures of the entire altar area prior to moving anything so that we can return everything to it’s proper place after Mass! Thank you, as always for your help!

6/17/2025: THANK YOU! and an announcement:

To all of the volunteers who assisted us in setting up and breaking down before and after Mass, THANK YOU. Our May Mass was the smoothest preparation we’ve had yet.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Kenny Gasperson has agreed to take a lead role in coordinating our Altar Preparation volunteers. Kenny will ensure that we get pictures prior to moving anything so that we can ensure we are able to return all items to their original locations. If you are volunteering to help set up or break down for Mass, please make sure you coordinate with Kenny! We appreciate everyone who makes this Mass possible.

5/5/2025: Three quick updates:

1) Thanks to everyone who assisted us for our April Mass set up! One important ask - please make sure we take pictures of the altar set up BEFORE moving/removing items so that we can ensure we put everything back exactly as it was!

2) We are still soliciting help for the items below. We do have a lead on potential Altar Server training - stay tuned for additional updates!

3) Please make sure you subscribe using the “Get Updates” link at the bottom of this site!

4/25/25 We are still working to coordinate volunteers to help with the Mass logistics. Please be patient as we determine the various needs and identify volunteers for each!

If you are interested in helping with any of these needs, please reach out to Gus Hertz (gushertz@gmail.com) to discuss. Training will be provided!

Currently, we are looking for volunteers to help with the following:

  • Set up before Mass

  • Set up after Mass

  • Counting/securing collections (after Mass)

  • Sacristan

  • Altar Servers

  • Music/Organist
